Small Press Traffic and Et al. Gallery present The Auction, a fundraiser and party to help sustain homegrown art and community.
In the face of sweeping federal cuts to the arts and humanities, we are seeking community support. Our organizations are committed to continuing our robust and diverse programming, keeping Bay Area arts alive and exciting, and being a resource for poets, artists, and everyone in between. Fresh off our 50th anniversary celebrations, SPT is intent on sticking around for another 50. But we need some help – so get ready for our daylong extravaganza!
A $5 ticket gets you into the silent auction, where you’ll bid on one-of-a-kind experiences, art objects, and ephemera donated by beloved writers and artists far and near. And if you live beyond the Bay, you’ll have a chance to bid online. Keep your eyes out for a catalog, site for remote bidding, and special previews coming soon…
We’ll have some choice offerings throughout auction day, too. From 2-7pm, expect a $5 book sale, gallery and archive activations, snacks and booze, tunes, a pop-up tattoo parlor with Emily Harter, and a debut poets play performed by local stars.
