Workshop

Kimberly Alidio will give an artist talk on her fourth collection, Teeter, an autohistoriography of felt time that arises from subversive hearing practices and the emotional prosody of a mother tongue. A short generative writing exercise will follow a presentation of the book. A short generative writing exercise will follow a presentation of the book’s playlist (Danishta Rivero, Lea Bertucci, N. H. Pritchard, and others), the book’s sound collage poems published in Baest, and the book’s poems across various registers and forms. Kimberly Alidio

Kimberly Alidio is the author of Teeter (Nightboat Books), why letter ellipses (selva oscura press), : once teeth bones coral : (Belladonna*), and after projects the resound (Black Radish Books). Her writing has been nominated for the United States Artists Fellowship and awarded the Nightboat Poetry Prize. She lives on Munsee-Mohican lands along the Mahicannituck River, otherwise known as New York’s Upper Hudson Valley.
